Order Only
Dec. 28th, 2014 10:06 amSo much for sleeping in.
Desai called me early. We're just out of a meeting now. Parade's to start at one, but all of us marching've got to be in position at the Tower at half-eleven. So, Hogwarts people, I'll see you there.
For those of you who don't know, all of Hogwarts are marching in it--in our YPL regalia and CCF kit, for those of us who've been in those. And the village schools are all going to be marching behind us.
MLE and the Aurors are meant to field a huge contingent, a real show of force, y'know? Pretty much everyone not working the crowds. I mean, Mulciber said as much. So, y'know, there won't be a lot of enforcers anywhere else but the parade route in New London, but they'll be marching near the start and not assembling until the last minute, and then as soon as they reach Buckingham, they'll Apparate from there to assigned positions all over. So be careful if you're thinking NL'll be easy game today.
I think there was a unit heads meeting before the one I was in, because I saw Rowle talking to Netherham--he's head of enforcement in the camps now, y'know, so I reckon maybe the camps are meant to have people marching in the parade, too. Or maybe they're just bracing in case there's trouble, but, really, what could they do if there is?
No one said anything about Dementors, so I wouldn't hope too much that the prison'll be standing open for you. If you're going today.
I did hear that they've got a Mountain troll and two giants. That ought to be loads of fun for anyone down wind of them!
Sorry. Got to run. More if I have a chance.

Date: 2014-12-28 06:12 pm (UTC)I hope I'll be able to slip away during all the speeches and things after without anyone being the wiser. You might have to stick around, though, Ron.
Is it a sure thing, then? We're going to Azkaban today?

Date: 2014-12-28 07:04 pm (UTC)With nearly all the Aurors in New London and distracted, we're not going to have a better chance to make this work.
If you're free, or can slip away, meet us at the rendezvous. It sounds like there's to be a programme after the parade itself; we're going to need at least some of you who will be marching, so we'll wait till the parade is done. Those of you likely to be missed -- Ron, I imagine you're probably in that category -- stay put. Don't risk your cover. But if you can manage to break away, we can certainly use you. (And Rachel, I hope you can slip away, we definitely want you along.)
