Well, I heard Towler say after the match that we were so far ahead on points, we would have won if Marvolo hadn't caught the Snitch.

And Marvolo mightn't have caught the Snitch if his broom hadn't given him an unfair advantage--at least that's what Towler said.

There's nothing unfair about him having a good broom.

Gryffindor really played quite well. They made it a really close match, even though Slytherin House has the best Seeker in the history of the school!

I'm almost glad I didn't live with the Woods last summer, think how cross everyone in my House would be that I helped Oliver train!

He was brilliant. I heard a rumour there were scouts for quidditch teams in the stands tonight and I hope they were true, he well deserves it.

Towler? He barely touched the Quaffle the whole match! If it weren't for Bell and Johnson, Gryffindor would have spent all its time watching Slytherin pass it back and forth. (Mind you, Wood did brilliantly but he's not got a load of support from the others.)

You lot need a real Seeker, not that Coote bloke. He wouldn't know a Snitch if it fluttered its wings in his face! Wood's lucky you lot didn't lose by twice the points.

I wasn't rubbing anything anywhere, Brown. It's Weasley said your lot did well when they really weren't so nift themselves. Marvolo caught the Snitch because his broom is brilliant AND because he's a dead wicked Seeker. But he wouldn't have won it for Gryffindor if ALL your Chasers had been up to the task.

Look at Wood--Robins said Madame Hooch told him he was scouted during the match by professional Quidditch scouts!

Yeah, he was brilliant. And he didn't need an extrawizard broom to do it, either.

I mean, I'm not saying Marvolo didn't fly well or that he didn't spot the Snitch out of blue nowhere, but if you've got a better broom than anyone else in the skies, you can't exactly take credit for going faster and flasher than everyone else. Wood, though. That was all him.

And I bet those teams that had scouts here fight over him to see who can sign him first.
