Anyone have any thoughts? I don't think we should try too much coordination going in this first time. She'll smell that a mile away, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to talk about it. Or at least remind each other we're playing the same side. Even if it may be difficult to tell that once it all gets started.

I don't suppose there's much point to holding back, what. If one plans to make an attempt, one might as well make it a bally well sincere one.

I thought to wait until someone else opened the floor, though, at least. I say, what's your plan? Do you know anything about Professor Desai's preferences that we could use to advantage?

Well, she made it pretty clear she wants to see what we're capable of if we make an attempt on her. So I'd say showcase something you know you can deliver, but something with a bit of imagination, yeah?

But something upper-middle-range. I mean, it's obvious none of us wants to show her everything we can do. But... well, some of us have reasons to want to impress her. Others of us not.

And, yeah. I don't plan to be the first to strike, unless no one does until fairly late in the lesson. No sense making myself a target for too long. And then, I suppose my strategy will mostly be holding off attacks and not missing targets. I don't plan to do more than's necessary with other students, though. Leave room for improvement, I reckon.

Feel free to hex me afterward and I'll probably not do a good job deflecting. But if Seamus or Patil try, I'll do my best to dodge and return fire.

Not unless there's an absolutely unmissable chance to zap Patil in the arse. He might do it then, if he could make it look like something he was just doing on a whim.

Does it make you fair game if you hex a student who made themselves fair game? If Patil goes after Desai he'll go after her for sure. UNLESS it means anyone who wants can hex him. Anyway I don't think Patil will, either.

So you're right, Patil would have to take a shot before Zabini could go after her.

I think she might try if the right person implied that Councilwizards ought to set the standard. Actually, I wonder if Desai will do that. Challenge Patil and Finnigan, I mean. That would be interesting.
