I think they were trying to lull us so we answered without thinking too hard on the important ones they'd hidden in there. Like 'how did you meet your best friend?' (which isn't interesting if you say 'we are roommates here at Hogwarts' but that isn't true for everyone) or 'how would you teach someone to cast "wingardium leviosa" if they just weren't getting it' or 'if you could go anywhere in the world outside the Protectorate, where would you go' or 'if you found yourself trapped outside the Protectorate, what would be the first three things you did'?

Unless my test was different, and maybe it was. They could easily have different tests for pureblood and half-blood students.
