Last Night

It's always odd the last night before we go home, but tonight especially, the castle just seems really empty already with the Durmstrang and Beauxbatons lot gone. Like it's too big for just us.

It was nice, though, the way we all went out to see them off. Professor Froissart said really nice things, too, I thought. Odd, though, that Professor Karkaroff didn't even stick his nose out or say anything. That was awkward. I thought Krum showed class, though.

Anywiz, anyone fancy some chess tonight? Come to the Great Hall if you do. Bring Snap or gobstones or whatever if you'd rather.

I was just getting some things from the greenhouses (a tree some plants I'll be bringing home), but I'll stop by. A couple chess games sounds like a good idea.

Neville. Just so you know. Professor Siz told me that this summer's CCF is going to be all about Leicester. Which is going to be no end of fun for me, and would be rather awkward for you if you were in CCF. But as it is, you might hear some things. Just thought it would be best to be prepared.

Well, it can't be easy hearing those things about your parents. No matter what you think of them. And it's so hard to tell what's rubbish. I mean, look at all the things they've said about Sirius Black over the years, and I know for a fact that half of it's dead wrong. Especially the part where he's dead.

Besides. If they'd won, think of all the awful things they'd say about mine instead.
