So those are some big books. A load of them, too. And he seems to have a lot to say. In that post about the course, and the letter about the books.

Glad I left this morning before that came in. Mum's not saying anything about it now, but I bet it was hot here this morning. I think it was good I went on and bought those myself. She hasn't said yet when we're going as a family, but they might not have any left by then, and this way, maybe I won't have to hear about how cross it makes her to have to buy those, y'know.

Siz left me a message to say that she talked to Professor Dolohov about the fact that the books might be expensive, and he said that if a student can't lay hands on a copy for any reason (either because of finances or because the bookstore is out of stock) they should talk to him about it. It sounds like he was at least being reassuring to her.

I bought mine but I had to use some of the money I'd saved up from my YPL counsellor position and so on. I didn't want to wait as it looked like they were about to run out of the preferred translation on the Peverell (as it was I didn't get the preferred translation of 'Intra Profundis.')

Lucius sent me the books for class ahead of time. Only I didn't know that that's what they were for when I got them, and I was silly and didn't check to see when you'd be at Flourish and Blotts, and I didn't think ahead of time because I could've bought you a set since I didn't need to spend the money on mine.
